Some of the ways Thor 2 is being promoted is through trailers, merchandise such as action figures and posters. Although I didn't buy any Thor merchandise, I saw posters of the movie on the tube and on buses, I also watched the trailer of the movie on my phone and later on television.
Other ways the film has gained plenty of hype is by social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc flooding with statuses and posts making people aware of what is dubbed to be "One of the best movies of 2013" by many.
The target audience of the movie is mainly at people with an interest in comics/action. Although the movie is mainly aimed towards teens and kids, I believe adults are not far off with interest in the movie because of its action and gripping storyline.
Storyline of the movie:
Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

Thor:The Dark World |
The game is one example of the many synergy partnerships between Marvel and Lego, they do this to promote eachother using another established and widely known brand to broadcast their own. Also, the partnership with Lego easily makes the game more child friendly because of the animation and colour used.

Production:
- Pre-Production - Pre-production is there all the planning and ideas in a movie take place, while trying to think of any possible problems and take care of them before. Casting also takes place in the pre-production stage, and as the face of your film, the actors chosen are very for its success. Schedule auditions, cast actors for all parts and hold rehearsals. Actors should also have the time to do research of their own in order to get to know their characters and understand them. Pre-production also includes screen writing, storyboarding and funding.
- Production - Production is the actual filming of the movie. During the filming, all audio and visual materials are being gathered.a large part of the crew takes place in this stage, in order to make sure the that the script is being followed accurately and the materials are of the best possible quality.
- Post-production - The post-production stage includes editing all of the materials that were gathered during shooting, assembling it into a fluent, consistent film. This is also time to insert the overlay of adjustments and effects that creates the full cinematic experience you have envisioned. Post-production usually takes longer than the production itself.
